A Must-Read for Anyone Interested in the Vietnam War or in the Human Cost of Conflict

Daniel Polansky's Profiles: The Vietnam War is a powerful and moving account of the human toll of war. Through interviews with veterans from both sides of the conflict, Polansky paints a vivid picture of the physical and psychological scars that war leaves behind.

Polansky's interviews are deeply personal and often heartbreaking. He speaks with veterans who have lost limbs, been tortured, and witnessed the death of their comrades. He also speaks with veterans who have struggled to adjust to civilian life after the war, suffering from PTSD, depression, and addiction.

Profiles: The Vietnam War is not a political book. Polansky does not take sides in the conflict, and he does not offer any easy answers. Instead, he focuses on the human stories behind the war, and he allows the veterans to speak for themselves.

The result is a book that is both deeply moving and thought-provoking. Profiles: The Vietnam War is a must-read for anyone interested in the Vietnam War or in the human cost of conflict.
